Iranian Ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, stated in an interview that the improvement in banking and currency cooperation between the two nations has led to this development. He expressed optimism that financial challenges in their bilateral ties would be resolved by 2025.

▢️ This push comes after Mostafa Ghamari Vafa, a spokesperson for Iran’s central bank, emphasized that both countries are actively finalizing agreements with the Bank of Russia. Mohammad Reza Farzin, head of Iran’s central bank, recently visited Moscow to discuss various aspects of their financial collaboration. He was also part of a delegation led by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during a trip to Russia on January 17, where they signed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty.
