💡 Need a tool that cleans metadata everywhere, not just in photos or documents like specialized software? mat2 gives you the ability to view and remove metadata from files in a wide variety of formats.
⚙️ This is a continuation of the outdated MAT (Metadata Anonymization Toolkit), it can handle metadata from image files, video/audio, documents, e-books, archives, spreadsheets, cascading spreadsheets, torrents and much more.
Inside Exiftool to find metadata, but removes it mat2 itself (some exiftool changes in documents can be restored). Creates a copy of the file with the changes made, so it doesn’t accidentally break the original. If it does, there is a -L (lightweight) argument for “gentle” cleanup.
