Image Scrubber (“photo scrubber”) is a minimalistic free tool for photo anonymization. It allows you to remove metadata and paint/blur sensitive areas of a photo.

⚙️Once the page is loaded, it works completely offline. No data is stored or shared. The app can be installed on Android and iOS as a PWA (See previous post on our channel “Turning Websites into Apps – PWA”), or run index.html from the code directory on PC.

~ open source JavaScript code
~ deletion of all exif data (no batch cleanup)
~ maximum resolution of saved photo: 2500×2500
~ image rotation
~ work with adjustable brush or rectangular selection
~ blurring mixes noise into pixels, but is less safe than coloring.

💡 Not a bad tool with the essentials if you don’t want to deal with graphics harvesters. Not very responsive interface, but the author himself wrote about not the most optimized code.
